Rings that Grow with You Over Time
Several years ago, a couple visited our Aoyama store.
They had registered their marriage that same month, but shared that they were finding it difficult to choose their bridal rings.
The bride had long been a fan of MONAKA jewelry and had been interested in the tatae-L design.
The groom, on the other hand, felt that since he didn't usually wear accessories, he wanted something simple and unobtrusive.
When they actually held the 〈tatae-L〉 in the store, the groom loved it more than he had imagined, and they decided on their wedding rings right then and there.
〈tatae〉 is a simple, flat-band ring that blends gently into everyday life.
While the surface is finished with intentional restraint, the interior is crafted with a hand-worked texture, a design meant to hold precious feelings quietly within.
The couple chose white gold for the groom and yellow gold for the bride for their 〈tatae-L〉 rings.
By choosing the same design while selecting different materials, it became a pair of rings that felt uniquely theirs.
For the engagement ring, the bride chose a custom piece based on a design we had previously offered as a limited edition, selecting the stones from loose diamonds.
It resulted in a unique and special piece featuring three side-by-side unshaped brown diamonds.
It is a one-of-a-kind engagement ring, with three stones, each possessing its own unique character, nestled together.
After the rings were delivered, they sent us photos from their bridal photoshoot, and we were so happy to see the couple with their rings.
Years have passed since then.
Recently, when they brought their rings in for resizing, they also paid a visit to our newly relocated Ginza store.
During that visit, they shared some wonderful news with us.
They told us they were expecting a new member of the family, and our designer and the entire staff were overjoyed for them.
We had the pleasure of photographing the rings that have spent so much time with the couple.
